The fishing pole holder is constructed of durable stainless steel that is built to last. A plastic liner surrounds the outer rim and covers the entire inside of the boat rod holder. The plastic liner prevents metal-on-metal contact between the stainless steel and rod that would normally scratch or mar the fishing rod surface. The clamp on rod holder has draining holes in the bottom plastic liner that prevent rain water from building up on the inside.
