Royal China Currier & Ives gravy boat. This is the spouted gravy boat in blue and white. The scene is "The Road, Winter." Original listing has one gravy boat marked on the bottom with a B in raised letter, one is marked with a raised C, one marked with a raised D and one not marked. If you prefer a specific mark, please state in your order. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or crazing. These were never used.
The Currier & Ives pattern is one of the most famous patterns produced by The Royal China Company. The Royal China Company operated from 1934 to 1986 out of Sebring, Ohio producing over 1,000 dinnerware patterns. The Currier & Ives pattern consists of different scenes based on Currier & Ives prints for the different dinnerware pieces. Royal produced this pattern from around 1950 through 1970. The Royal China Company was sold to Jeannette Glass around 1970 and this pattern was discontinued.
