MARCO POLO Restaurant & MARENGO LOUNGE - Vienna, Virginia -1970s Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a nice standard matchbook cover from the Marco Polo restaurant and Marengo Lounge, located on Maple Avenue in Vienna, Virginia. It served "Italian, French & American Cuisine". The front features a drawing of a gondola and gondolier.
There's no printing on the inside.
It was produced by Maryland Match Corp., Baltimore, MD
Actual Size: approx. 1.5" x 2" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but I'm fairly certain it's from the late 1970s.
Condition: Good, I'd say. The cover is a bit soiled, with noticeable roughness around the edges. However, the striker strip shows no evidence of use. (Please see scans.)
