Includes a certificate of authenticity, plate numbered: 17509B. **Lovely Marilynagainst this warm backdrop, the famous white dress stands out in bold contrast, the voluminous folds of the skirt, almost seem to be moving. Of course, there is The Face...luminous, incandescent. Enveloped by a halo of swirling blonde curls, Marilyn smiles out at us radiantly, with the half-lowered eyelids and moist, red lips that were already her trademark. Her posture - not quite leaning forward, shoulders slightly raised, knees slightly bent - suggests a modest little girl, shy, almost embarassed, and completely unaware of her effect on people. This suggestion of childlike innocence and touching vulnerability, hidden within the provocative form of a strikingly beautiful woman, is what made Marilyn Monroe unique; it is what made her a star and drew people to here, women as well as men.
