ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINE - Miami, Florida - 1980s Christmas Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a nice over-sized Christmas-themed matchbook cover from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, based in Miami, Florida. The outside of the matchbook features a wreath and a candelabra with holly, along with the words "SEASON'S GREETINGS". This is entirely presented in a pale gold metallic color, with the wreath, candelabra and text all having a "flat" finish (which my scanner picks up as almost black due to the reflection), while the background area has more of a brushed finish.
The inside just says: "ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINE / MIAMI, FLORIDA".
The matchbook was produced by Bartell Distinctive Adv., Miami, Fla.
Actual Size: approx. 2" x 2" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but I'm fairly certain it's from the early 1980s
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The cover has several tiny rubbed or dirty spots on the back, along the left side of the candelabra, but otherwise appears clean. The striker strip shows no evidence of use. (Please see scans.)
