Sophie's Tavern Cook Book, by Gwerder, Sophie Self Pub., 1951, unstated edition Spiral bound in good condition. Text is clean and unmarked, binding tight, all spirals in place, not loose or missing same with pages. Cover shows some slight signs of wear, one page has fold. Sophie's Tavern was the place in the later 1940ies and through the 1960ies. It was located in what is now Fremont, Ca. and served a menu that drew in the crowds with their homemade dishes. Traditional German, Weekly specials and special nights the place was always packed, and of course the Tavern for a simple beer. Sophie's closed in 1962. 64 pages
