Raindance is a tripple CD compilation of chilling moods. It consists of a few "covers" of well known songs of Enya, Enigma, Mike Oldfield and others. The rest (70 percent of each of the album) are original tracks by lesser-known artists (I suspect these artists are actually AKAs of Levantis, a well-known (?) Dutch composer of new age / relaxation music). And the original songs are what makes the compilation worthwhile. Some of them are somewhat repetitive, while others offer a fantastic sound, ethnic samples and chillout harmonies. If you like chillout new age music in the likes of Enigma or Deep Forest, I can only recommend this album. My only peeve is that some of the tracks have wrong titles (there are two more uncredited covers, which appear on the cover as made by the original artists). All in all - I recommend this album for all listeners thirsty for what they want from Enigma, which Enigma can no longer supply...
