This is a short wood pepper mill from Gorham Silverplate. It measures 4 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide at the bottom. If I am translating the markings un the bottom band correctly, I believe that this is from the 1950s or 1960s. It has what looks like some sort of monogram engraved into the top. The wood has wear from age and normal use. The underlying metal (I do not know what type of metal it is) beneath the silverplate is tarnished. Also, the mechanical workings have rust or dirt and need cleaned up, and are missing a screw. See pictures for details.
