THE DANISH INN RESTAURANT - Solvang, California - 1980s Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a very nice over-sized matchbook cover from The Danish Inn Restaurant, located on Mission Drive in Solvang, California. It offered "LUNCHEON" and "DINNER". The outside of the cover has a kind of subtle "brushed" gold finish and features a drawing of a windmill.
The inside claims the establishment offered "Cuisine Extraordinaire", Lunch & Dinner, Cocktails, and a Smorgasbord.

Actual Size: approx. 2" x 2" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but It's likely from the late 1980s
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The cover is very clean and the striker strip shows no evidence of use. (Please see scans.) Also, please note that the subtle "brushed" gold surface on the outside of the cover has caused some non-existent "lensing" in the image and also seems to have imparted a reddish tint to what is basically a black striker strip.
