NOTE: Blue Howlite is used and sold in today's market as turquoise, but it is NOT turquoise. I mention this because I always pride myself of been completely transparent and honest to my customers. I have seen these been sold as spider web turquoise or turquoise howlite, and I think that is DECEITFUL, as it is not turquoise not even reconstituted turquoise. So if you see these somewhere else been sold as turquoise, please be aware!

METAPHYSICAL:
Howlite is made up of hydrous calcium borate and often creates nodules that look a lot like cauliflower heads. This mineral was named after a Canadian mineralogist Henry How who first discovered in Nova Scotia in 1868. Henry How was a Canadian chemist, geologist and mineralogist who was told of this previously unknown mineral by gypsum quarry miners who found it hampered their mining because it is harder than gypsum. Howlite is a borate mineral, which occurs in Canada and parts of the USA.
It’s usually a white or light grey opaque and porous stone with grey, black, or brown veining that looks much like a spider web. It’s often dyed green or blue to resemble a Turquoise, or red to look like a Coral. The dyeing doesn't affect the healing properties of howlite.
This stone teaches you patience and helps to remove rage and uncontrolled anger. Carry howlite in your pocket when you are going to be in a place where anger and rage could be possible. It will help to keep you calm and settle everyone else down as well. Be sure to cleanse your crystal after each encounter.
