Also called Sweet Alison and Sweet Alyssum this fragrant garden favorite can be easily grown from Alyssum seeds, and the established plant features medium green foliage and produces clusters of deep-purple to violet blooms. Violet Alyssum is a low spreading, compact plant that is just 2-4 inches tall. Sweet Alison is densely covered with sweet, honey-like scented flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Alyssum Oriental Nights is an early bloomer with a long bloom period that lasts from spring until first frost.
