Cigar Plant Scarlet can be grown from seeds, and other most known common names of this plant are Mexican Cigar Flower, Firecracker Plant, and Cigarette Plant. Cuphea Ignea Coan is a compact bushy plant that produces mounds of highly attractive, shiny-green foliage which is covered with long, tube-shaped, red flowers with white ends that look like ash-tipped cigars. The tubular flowers and bright red color of blooming Cigar Flower are a hummingbird magnet and they attract butterflies and bees too. Cigar Plant Scarlet is a superb container plant and can be grown as a border plant or ground cover.
