All are in perfect condition and still very much usable. They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use. The item in this listing has the following characteristics: This is a 5 decade Catholic Rosary of French origin dating from the 1920’s. It is quite impressive with large MOP capped beads of 10.5 mm diameter for the Pater beads and 9.5 mm for the Aves. It has a MOP and Sterling cross of 60 x 30 mm ( 2.4 x 1.2 in.) to which are linked 2 rare medals : one in sterling and gold with the Chalice, traditionally a first communion present and the second one a fine medal of Lourdes also in Sterling. This is a First Communion Rosary as indicated also on the MOP triangle where the following wording is written : Souvenir de 1ère Communion. Length of the rosary is 60 cm or 24 inches and weight is a heavy 84 grams. The rosary will easily go over any size head to be worn with a fantastic effet. It is beautiful in its simplicity but extremely well done art work on the rosary.
