When it comes to creating highly detailed and intricate designs for needlework, few artists can match the beautiful pictures created by artist Barbara Smith. This nautical-themed sampler is a wonderful example of her artistic style captured in counted cross stitch and worked in warm earthy tones on 14 count Aida. Each letter of the alphabet is matched up with a little picture of a coordinating item, from an anchor to a zoned conch. When finished, this picture will be the perfect way to bring a little bit of the sea into any home.
