One of the better guides to London. The London Red Guide is a travelor's best friend for finding your way about this huge city. It has detailed descriptions of the major and minor sites, many area maps, diagrams of churches and monuments, color and black and white pictures and a pull out map of the London Underground. The book is 287 pages including the index and is in top vintage condition. Previous owners name printed neatly inside hard cover and a few tiny red checks in the index by sites seen. All pages are intact and the dust jacket has only minor rubbing.
One of the good things about this guide is that sites are grouped by section of the city so you can plan a day in each area and not miss anything. It also includes sites in the outer reaches of London.
This is a 1970 edition of the guide and while the sites won't have changed much except admission fees, hotels, restaurants and parking will be out of date. Remember London now charges very high fees to drive into the city in a private or rented car. Edited by Reginald J. W. Hammond and published by Ward Lock Limited. Good reference book whether you are taking a trip or just want to read up on the city.
