Florence is for art lovers and this guidebook was written to help you get the most out of the treasures that await in this city. The author was Roberto Bartolini and the book is signed by him on the title page. It is lavishly illustrated with black and white and color photos and diagrams. It is 230 pages and includes an index of the main artists. It has a pull out map in the back of the historical center. The guide describes itself as a modern illustrated guide with plans of monuments galleries museums and double map of the city.

Structural condition is excellent for its age. The previous owner marked off the spots seen in pink highlighter but this is just in the front alphabetical index. I found one pink highlighted word further into the book. This is 4.5 x 7.5 inches so easy to carry in a jacket pocket or purse.
