Early Primitive seated female bulul figure early 19th c ( UPS to Pack n ship )

A seated male bulul figure early 19th , It is carved in the traditional style with sunken eyes and has a sacrificial surface patina which is varied in thickness and color. This bulul was no doubt used in countless harvest ceremonies and was an important and cherished object for its owner. Bululs were inherited by the first child of a family and were held in high esteem. The sculpture has an eroded base with Beetle (insect) holes which came up from the ground. The top of the base between the figure's legs also has evidence of old Beetle holes which seem to be a common characteristic of an early examples.Size H 21 " w 7" d 7 1/2 "
