This early tablecloth is a souvenir of Alaska. It features a roughly drawn map of the territory sketched in orange with town names and important sites or industries in brown. It features a poem "Alaska's Flag" by Marie Drake. (see picture) I thought this was pre statehood or just at the time of admission as a state as it mentions the purchase from Russia in 1876 for $7,200,000 but makes no mention of becoming a state, however someone emailed me that Marie Drake wrote the poem on the occasion of statehood.
Generally the post statehood souvenir tablecloths are more colorful and complex. This is orange and brown on a coarse textured oatmeal cotton. It is 50 inches square and has not been used. This is actually called a souvenir map of Alaska.
