Gayfeather (Liatris Spicata) Seeds are the common varieties of Liatris that most home gardeners use in their garden. They can reach heights of 1-5 feet tall when they mature. The flower grows in a stalk-like formation, with a small purple flower at the top of the spikes. The flower will first blossom at the top, but as it matures, continue down and cover the whole thing. When planting the Gayfeather from seed, it is important to note that you won't have any flowers until two years after planting. When deciding where to plant the Gayfeather seeds, ensure the desired position is well-drained and preferably has access to full sunlight.
