Contact us for solution!Decription Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) is an evergreen, supplying perennial color and fragrant leaves for cooking. It also grows well as a potted indoor or outdoor plant. Thyme seeds germinate readily, especially if you start it indoors where you have better control over warmth, soil quality and moisture. You can start seedlings indoors as early as four weeks before the last spring frost for transplanting outside, or at any time if you plan to grow thyme as an indoor-only plant. Germination guide:1 Set a seedling flat into a watering tray and fill the flat with potting soil. Pour water into the tray and allow the soil to soak up the moisture for about 30 minutes. Empty the excess water from the tray once the soil surface in the flat is moist. 2 Draw your finger down the soil surface to make 1/4-inch deep planting furrows. Space the furrows two inches apart. 3 Sprinkle thyme seeds down each furrow, sowing approximately one or two seeds per 1 inch of row. Cover the seeds with a 1/4-inch layer of moist soil. 4 Slide the flat into a plastic bag. Set the flat in an area where the temperature is around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The bag helps keep the soil moist and warm while the seeds germinate. 5 Remove the bag once sprouts emerge, usually within seven days. Place the flat in a warm, sunny area and water when the soil surface feels dry. Seed Counts All seed counts should be considered estimates.
