THE MONOCLE Supper Club - Washington, D.C. - 1970s Vintage Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a nice over-sized matchbook cover advertising The Monocle Supper Club, a dining and dancing establishment located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The front of the match book shows a stylish gentleman in a top hat holding a monocle up to his eye.
The inside provides the address and phone number of the restaurant, and says that it has "FREE DINNER PARKING, ENTERTAINMENT, DANCING".
Produced by Horizons Unlimited, Rockville, Maryland.
Actual Size: approx. 2" x 2" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but likely from the 1970s, or perhaps early 1980s.
Condition: Excellent, I'd say. The cover is very clean and the striker strip shows no evidence of use. The matches have obviously been removed. (Please see scans.)
**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
