Authentically autographed color postcard from singer, guitarist, dancer and actor Trini Lopez (1937-). It dates from the late 1960s and comes with an original press release.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Trini Lopez's charted singles include "If I Had a Hammer" (1963), "Jailer Bring Me Water" (1964), "Lemon Tree" (1965), "Pancho Lopez" (1966), "The Bramble Bush" (1967), et al. He played Pedro Jiminez in The Dirty Dozen (1967), where he performs "The Bramble Bush" and hurriedly scurries up a rope during training after Lee Marvin shoots the end off it!
Postcard is boldly signed in black sharpie: "Trini Lopez." No doubt as to authenticity.
Postcard is in excellent+ condition and press release is unused in near mint condition.
This item comes directly from the estate of Charles "Chaw" Mank Jr. (1902-1985), noted songwriter, author, bandleader, record producer, sheet music publisher, psychic, radio personality, silent movie theater organist, world champion pen pal, inveterate collector and Hollywood/music fan club pioneer.
