Jimmy Kish (1925-2010) – the vaunted "The Flying Cowboy" of country music – authentically autographed this 45 rpm record on the Kess label 754 Stereo "Night Plane to Nashville"/"Chained to a Memory" released in 1976. It's boldly signed in black on label: "To Chaw Mank Jimmy Kish '76."
Record is mint/unplayed and in original white sleeve. Kess was a Nashville label. "Night Plane to Nashville," which can be heard on YouTube, mentions the Grand Ole Opry, Ernest Tubb, Hank Snow, the Wilburn Brothers, Roy Acuff, Marty Robbins, Minnie Pearl, et al. One of those great country music tribute records.
"I'm takin' the night plane to Nashville/"My heart is as happy as can be/I'm gonna see all the big stars in Nashville/When I take in the Grand Ole Opry...Marty Robbins will be singing 'El Paso'/Minnie Pearl will be shouting Howdy..."

This item comes directly from the estate of Charles "Chaw" Mank Jr. (1902-1985), noted songwriter, author, bandleader, record producer, sheet music publisher, psychic, radio personality, silent movie theater organist, world champion pen pal, inveterate collector and Hollywood/music fan club pioneer.
