Lovely depiction of a woman with her child. The Virgin Mother Mary and Young Jesus portrayed ?? She is wearing a long white dress and a deep royal purple velvet cloak. Can see her halo over her head. A nice religious image. Jesus is holding a small bouquet of long stemmed white lily flowers.
Providence to this art illustration ~ Is an American Colortype Co. lithograph paper print. Copyrt. 1910 BY B. TONNESEN. Was an art supplement.
The print image is in Excellent Condition. Some very minute wear handling on the edges. No tears, No stains. Back of the print is age toned. Bright coloring.
Housed in its beautiful order gesso design with leaves and berries. At the very top is finished off with a tied bow and ribbon. Front surface gesso all intact. Just on the left edge side is a chip/crack that is shown in our photo. Does not compromise the structure of the frame. Beautiful! We retouched the frame with newer gold paint, as the original patina was very dull in color.
Glass intact and is Original to the old frame. Original Old Glass. Overall the frame measures 8-1/2 inches wide by 11-1/2 inches high by 1/2 inch frame border. The back print measurement is 8-1/2 inches wide by 10-1/2 inches high.
