Those were the days that counted! That was where Jane's quick thinking in capturing a live lion brought her into the headlines. But this was by no means the limit of her resourcefulness. She not only made for Jody an imaginary garden which was quite good for playing in, but got this little underprivileged child adopted so that she fell heir to a sure enough garden at Harbour Head. Finally, and this was hardest of all, she coaxed Mother to come to live at Lantern Hill for keeps. And that was quite good for eleven years of age!
