NEW PARROT MOTEL and Restaurant - Watertown, New York - Vintage Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's a nice vintage standard-sized matchbook cover from the New Parrot Restaurant, Motel and Gift Shop, located on Outer Washington St. in Watertown, New York. The phone number for the restaurant is just 4 digits, "6671".
The inside just advertise the motel, which was "Open All Year", with "HOT WATER HEAT, SIMMONS BEDS, TV & RADIO IN EVERY ROOM". The Reservations phone number also is just 4 digits, "5806".

Date: Not dated, but I would think those old 4-digit phone numbers put it in the 1950s, or perhaps earlier
Condition: Good, I'd say. The cover is only lightly soiled, but the striker strip area has a bit of damage from the removal of the staple that held the matches. There's also an additional set of staple holes which pass through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
