I love these single antique linen napkins. (I have several listed.) Before I retired I used to tuck one in my brown bag lunches. I still use them when I am dining off a tray in front of the TV or at my desk. So much classier than paper napkins and so much friendlier for the environment. Keep a few on hand for when you want to treat someone to breakfast in bed or what better way to show a bed-ridden family member that they still matter.
The napkin is fine linen with the patina of a century and a scalloped edge bound in scalloped satin stitch embroidery. One corner has a triangular insert of filet lace crochet. The opposite corner has a monogrammed W or M depending on how you look at it or it could even be a V V. It is just over 12 inches square and the condition is excellent antique.
This napkin and all the linens with W monograms came from an estate I purchased several years ago. The linens were hand made and exquisitely done, beautifully maintained. Most of it has been sold but I have a few odd pieces left.
