CITIZENS BANK & TRUST COMPANY - Park Ridge, Illinois - Vintage Matchbook Cover
Description: Here's an interesting vintage standard-sized matchbook cover from the Citizens Bank & Trust Company, located in Park Ridge, Illinois. The front gives the bank's phone numbers as "TA 3-1155" and "NE 1-4270". The back shows a "SPORTSMILES" cartoon of a hunter sitting in his rowboat peering at the sky, while a bird sitting behind him on the barrel of the shotgun slung over his shoulder does the same.
The inside touts the features of the bank's auto loans.

Actual Size: approx. 2" x 1.5" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but based on the old-style phone numbers, I believe it to be from the 1950s.
Condition: Just good, I'd say. The cover is a bit scuffed, and the striker strip shows substantial usage. Tthere's also some additional damage to the striker strip area, likely from the removal of the staple that held the matches, along with an additional set of staple holes which pass through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
