Scenes from bullfight on fans acetate scarf roses fringed antique ll2180

A most unusual scarf that may be a souvenir scarf from Spain although it is not marked. This is a really old scarf with self fringed edges. It is 29 inches square and while showing lots of use has only a couple of small pin holes in one corner.

The design features both open and closed Spanish fans painted with scenes from the bullfight. The center is 6 orange roses. The border is printed to look like Spanish lace. The background is more tan than it shows in the photos.

This scarf will be a great addition to a gypsy costume or an unusual piece for your scarf collection.
