POLLY Cast:John Mills, Sally Ann Howes, Finlay Currie, Betty Ann Davies, Edward Chapman, Diana Churchill, Megs JenkinsDirector:Anthony PelissierRunTime:96 minutes (aprox.)Genre:Comedy DramaLanguage:English (audio)Subtitles:Greek (Optional - Removable)Region:2 EUROPE PAL (not for the USA & Canada)Picture :--H. G. Wells' non-fantasy efforts have, with the exception of Kipps, proven traditionally difficult to transfer to film. History of Mr. Polly occasionally suffers from too-close fidelity to its Wellsian source, one wishes that adaptor/director Anthony " Pelissier could have "opened up" the story a bit more. Still, the film is impeccably cast: particularly good is John Mills as Alfred Polly, whose efforts to make a go in the business world continually come acropper. A humble draper's clerk, Polly is" profoundly affected by a variety of personal relationships, most notably with colorful Uncle Jim (Finlay Currie) and his nagging wife Miriam (Betty Ann Davies). Ultimately, he finds happiness in an even humbler pursuit than the drapery business. Sta r John Mills' daughter Juliet shows up in a very minor role. . . . . .MOVIE2:EVIL UNDER THE SUN Cast:Peter Ustinov, Jane Birkin, Colin Blakely, Nicholas Clay, James MasonDirector:Guy HamiltonRunTime:102 minutes (aprox.)Genre:MysteryLanguage:English (audio)Subtitles:Greek (Optional - Removable)Region:2 EUROPE PAL (not for the USA & Canada)Picture :PictureFormataPeter Ustinov makes his second appearance as Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in this adaptation of the popular Agatha Christie mystery. When noted stage star Arlena Marshall (Diana Rigg) is found murdered while visiting a posh island resort, Poirot "is called upon to find the culprit, but given Marshall's shrewish personality and propensity for making enemies, the question isn't "Who wanted to see her dead?" but "Who didn't?" The suspects include Rex Brewster (Roddy McDowall), a writer penning a" biography of Arlena that the actress tried to stop, Odell and Myra Gardener (James Mason and Sylvia Miles), theatrical producers who were financially shafted when Arlena refused to appear in a show, Arlena's husband, Kenneth (Denis Quilley), Kenneth s lover, Daphne (Maggie Smith), Patrick Redfern (Nicholas Clay), who was having an affair with Arlena, and Christine (Jane Birkin), Nicholas' wife. Ustinov would play Poirot again three years later in the made-for-TV feature Thirteen at Dinner. . . . . .We do not sell copies , bootleg, or DVD-R. Item was circulated in Greece.
