Hello. I spent nearly 10 years selling on that other site (you can check my feedback there; It's under the same ID as this one; over 3200 positives, 99.7%). But I thought I'd give this new site a try.

Like all of my cds, this is an Original CD, with original inserts (NO CD-Rs or bootlegs).....

The lights are dim. A faint blue beam highlights the smoke of the lit cigarette. The room is cold beyond belief. Then the music starts. The mind begins to reel as the lyrics follow the rhythm, wave after wave, around the room. Suddenly, reality seems only a distant memory, replaced by visions of screams and loneliness and, above all, rock and roll, flashing in a helter-skelter blaze. Someone is coming, but they can't be seen. There is just the feeling that they are indeed coming, closer still, and they are coming after me. Schizophrenia, by itself, is not always a bad thing, and Cinema, by Speedball Baby, is schizophrenic.
Imagine an especially intense rave, somewhere in a field. It is nine in the morning and the ground is strewn with spent bodies, exhausted from dance. Picture a sole figure still standing, still moving. The feeling surrounding that last person, knowing they cannot last forever, is the same one feels having listened to Speedball Baby.
The music on Cinema spews forth high throttled blues rhythm intertwined with blues scales, late '60s surf guitar, and, God help us all, rockabilly. The lyrics are removed yet angry, with much screaming that reminds one of, fellow New Yorkers, the John Spencer Blues Explosion. There is a vulnerability in the music of Speedball Baby that gives the impression of being down and out, near the breaking point, in a world full of strangers. This is something the nouveau hip will never understand, because they just can't grasp what it means to see your life slide out of view.
