1950s OLD CHATHAM, NEW YORK - The Shaker Museum, Wash Shop - Postcard
Here's an interesting vintage postcard featuring the Wash Shop of the Shaker Museum in Old Chatham, N.Y. According to the description on the back, the Shakers invented the washing machine in 1858.
The card is identified as "Photography by: L. H. FROHMAN, Bronxville, N. Y. It is marked as number "44" and carries the identification code "ICS-61788".
Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"
Date: Not dated, but probably from the 1950s.
Condition: Excellent, I'd say. The card is unused, with very only slight edge wear. (Please see scans.)
