THIS ITEM IS A BIG BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE REALLY RARE CELADON GROUND & FAMILLE ROSE CHINESE PORCELAIN DOUBLE GOURD VASE .
THE UPPER SMALLER FOURD DECORATED WITH CHILDREN PLAYING A GAME BESIDE A POT WITH CLOTH WRAPPED AROUND IT.
THE LARGER LOWER GROUND DECORATED WITH SIX CHILDREN PLAYING AMONNGST THE BRANCHES OF A FRUITING PEACH TREE.
THE VASE WITH THE RED OVAL MARK OD TIANDI YI ON THE SIDE.
THE BASE WITH RED DAYAZHAI MARK.
LATE 19 TH OR EARLY 20TH CENTURY. AUTHENTICED BY VALUEMYSTUFF.
GOOD CONDITION, NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, NO REPAIR. IT IS HAIR LINES BUT IT IS VERY GOOD DUE OF AGE. COME WITH ORIGINAL BOX. OUTSIDE THE BOX SEALED WITH WORLD LINE FORBIDDEN CITY TRUSTEES, MARKED DATE 5/8/37 & TAIWAN FLAG SIGN.
IT IS HAD RED STAMP WITH 3 LETTERS: DAYAZHAI ON BODY'S VASE WITH DOUBLE FIVE- CLAWS DRAGONS PURSUING A FLAMING PEARL. THE UNDERSIDE WITH THE IRON-RED FOUR CHARACTER MARK: YONG QUING CHANG CHUN.
The mark Dayazhai (Studio of the Greater Odes) has been associated with the Dowager Empress Cixi. Although no such hall has been identified, a wooden framed plaque has been found in the Imperial workshops, bearing the characters Dayazhai and with one of two seals reading Tiandi Yijia Chun: see Guo Xingkuan and Wang Guangyao, Guanyang Yuci, Beijing, 2007, pp.145-147. According to the authors, in the 12th year of Tongzhi (1873) work began on the restoration of the Yuanming Yuan, and by 1874, the interior of the Tiandi Yijia Chun would have been in need of furnishing.
