Extremely rare natural green Kornerupine(.80ct, SI, Brazil) hand set in a Phoenix Fine Jewelry Designs sterling silver setting. Why give her a common Diamond! Yes they're common, but have been manipulated by a cartel for many generations! Here is a stone really worth the price tag! Is green one of her favorite colors? Is she truly a one of a kind? So is this ring! Kornerupine was named after a Danish geologist and explorer A. N. Kornerup. One of the rarest colours to find a Kornerupine in is green. What makes these extra special is that they bear a striking resemblance to that of an Emerald; not just in colour, but also in its refractive index. It can be distinguished, however, by its pleochroic property, which means that it is possible to see different colours when viewed from different angles. The colour can vary from brown, green to shades of yellow, the material is strongly pleochroic and frequently asteriated (from Burma and Taita Hills, Kenya). Cat's eye effect is due to inclusions of rutile and graphite. This item can be precious metal wrapped, charges apply. Please ask questions.
