Knight templar uniform. This is not just another Knight Templar uniform. It belonged to Mr. S.D. Allen of Tuscaloosa, AL. He was born in the year of1900, and grew up and lived in the early 1900's, in Tuscaloosa,AL. I have his diaries from his early years. This was back in 1924-1934. I also have his letters and other history facts about him all the way up until 1986. He was a close friend with Senator Lester Hill of Alabama, he owned several businesses, and was invited to the White house and the department of printing and engraving at one point. (paper copiesto document this is included in the sale). He has several Hospitals named after him in Tuscaloosa, AL. And one of them is now a ghost hunters dream. (there are videos of this on youtube)Mr. S.D. Allen was a powerful man in the early 1900's in Alabama, and for that reason he was a Sir Knight Templar. His wife's aunt wasMary-Bryce King, she was a author and song writer from Mississippi. Mary-Bryce King wrote a song that was recorded and performed by Nora Lou, a famous Hollywood actor in the 20's and 30's. She also translated old Irish folk songs to English back in 1905. (source wikipedia)Mary Bryce King and Mr. S.D. Allen wrote to each other on regular basis, I have the letter that they sent to each other. Mr. Allen was the grandfather of Norman Smith. Mr Norman Smith moved to Memphis, TN at some point. This Mr Norman Smith served in the military and served in Vietnam, where Mr. Allen sent Mr. Smith several letters during his service in Vietnam (Mag-13). (see my other listing for the vietnam military special).Mr. S.D. Allen died in 1986, and from what I have found out, he was active as a Sir Knight Templar until the early to mid1980’s.This Knight Templar uniform, is complete from what I can see, but i am not 100% sure. And it comes with the original boxes/suitcases. Made by: The Pettibone Bros mfg co. In Cincinnati,Oh.If you want a Knight Templar uniform that has history and a great deal of meaning, then this is it. I can document the owner, I can document the time he lived and where he lived.Condition: Remember that this uniform is very old, so some marks, signs of age and use must be expected. I have found one little hole in the pants. It is a about 3-4mm in size.Beside that it is dusty after being in a storage unit since 2004.The hat has some flaws with the liner inside. And it is fragile, the fur is shedding a little. This is strictly sold as a collectors item, and not intended for use. It is for display and showing only. And it deserves a serious collector.Sold as is, with some flaws, as must be expected by a 50-80 year old item. And as a buyder you accept this and approve that the condition can be described as fair to good.No return, sale is final. See pictures and decide from that if this is an item you want to buy on, and only buy if you are 110% sure you want it as presented in the pictures and my listing.*Tennessee residents must add and pay 9.25% sales tax.*International buyers must pay customs and all fees related to import.
