故事以朝鲜时代为背景，一個記憶混亂，性格冒失的女鬼阿兰(申敏兒)為了尋找自己死亡的真相，找了擁有能看見鬼神能力的使道官銀悟(李準基)幫忙，而當中阿娘也幫銀悟偵破各種疑案。最終銀悟能否幫助阿娘找出死亡真相，報仇雪恨呢？

Set in the Joseon Dynasty period, the female ghost Arang is an aggrieved ghost who happens to suffer from amnesia. She sets out on a journey to find her true identity but first she needs to find someone in the living world who can see her and help her, its Eun-oh. She makes a plea to Eun-oh to help her recover her memories. Eun-oh jokingly tells her that he would only help her if he becomes the district magistrate and so Arang cleverly finds a way to have him appointed as a magistrate overnight….
