故事讲的是2056年，人类科技高度发展，太阳能，地热能，风能等环保能源被大量推行，人们过得富裕而满足。但地球环境恶化，导致人类陷入重大生态危机。突然有一天，天才发明家J博士检测到这些环保能源无缘无故消失了，马上要求全球安全基地作出应对，GSB基地最高指挥官伊特力排众议，调派基地5位精英特警，组成一支超自然现象调查队，简称“PSDU"，又名“钢铁飞龙”，执行调查能源消失的任务，并寻找方法阻止环境进一步恶化。队伍由五位年轻人组成：队长炽焰、智囊深蓝、体育高手阿泰、少女小欣和电脑天才小星。可是随着调查的深入，炽焰等人发现自己正缓缓地步入一个巨大的阴谋之中。当拨开重重迷雾时，他们发现这场巨大阴谋的策划者竟然是邪恶科学家“魔尊”。他们历经千难万险，阻止了幕后黑手--邪恶科学家“魔尊”的阴谋，使生态环境恢复了正常。地球回复往日的平静，钢铁飞龙环保队员们回到基地，继续为保卫地球生态环境而努力。

This story took place in 2056 on the earth where the Robocops code named The Dragon Force detected a supernatural event and prevented an earthshaking conspiracy as well as saved the earth finally. The series have presented a science-fiction future world in an all-round way to the audience..
