This lovely picture features the antique breastplate Hoshen Shield that was worn by Aaron haCohen, the Jewish High Priest.
It was inlaid with 12 colourful precious stones and inscribed with the names of the 12 Tribes of Israel. As a sign for eternal LOVE for Israel. See pictures.
And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart when he goeth in to the holy place for a memorial before haShem continually. Exodus 28.
The picture contains 12 precious semi-precious natural (genuine) stones, the Hebrew names of the stones in English letters. There are different teachings about what the real breastplate stones really were. Our choice of the stones is one among many others. Thers is also a short characterization of the psychosomatic effects of the stones. Actually the whole picture is not esoteric but biblical. The fact that the names of the 12 tribes were engraved on the stones, shows that the character of the stone and the character of the tribe build a unity, their hidden qualities correlate in a one-to-one correspondence.
