Hi :)

As the title might give indication, this piece was inspired by a German fairy tale about a maiden trapped in a tower, her name went by Persinette back then but was translated and updated in the 1800's by the Brothers Grimm to Rapunzel which is how most people know her today :) This necklace is my rendition of the classic tale of the maiden with the long locks.

Inside the glass bottle (measuring 40 mm tall) is a tiny hand sculpted tower. It is very detailed, if you look closely you will see shrubs growing up the bricks with tiny flowers painted on, the woodwork underneath the chamber, the rooftop and windows decorated by shrubs and flowers as well. You can even see mortar detail on the bottom of the tower. Moss on the bottom of the bottle completes this mini scenery and of course the final touch, Rapunzel's golden locks of hair cascading out of the window waiting for her prince to rescue her from her unlucky fate.

The contents of the bottle are sealed in permanently with a cork and sealant.

The scenery has been secured down so nothing will budge if the bottle is moved about.

On the outside is a burnt paper label with the quote:

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let your hair down!"

The quote has been glazed to prevent fading over time.

The bottle is set in the middle of a 18'' cable style silver plated chain with a spring ring closure.

Along the chain you will find some beautiful glass beads in hues of blues, white, fuchsia with a black marbling on top.

This item comes in a pretty gift box and is bubble wrapped for extra precaution.
