Made by the Miao Hmong hill tribe people of the mountains along the China Laos border. The tribal people believe the silver has the ability of keep away evil spirits and traditionally wear this cuff bracelet bangle for good luck.
The lotus is also an important symbol. It grows in dirty water, and the dirtier the water the larger the lotus blossom is. It symbolizes the growth that can come from hardship and difficulty.
