There were this certain wall sockets in witch it was plugged in. they were installed during the buildings construction. There's a volume control button serving also as on - off. No such network now so there's no way to test it. So sold AS IS. Really rare, because of it's compact size. Most popular similar devices were twice to three times larger. They took a lot of space to install. This one is compact and lightweight. Measures approx. 10.5x10.0x4.0 centimeters and weights about 240 grams.
