JERRY GOLDSMITH was a prolific, alternately avante garde and classical composer of a wide variety of motion picture scores, including: Alien , Planet of the Apes (1968), Total Recall , The Omen , The Trouble With Angles, Hour of the Gun , Chinatown , Star Trek: The Motion Picture , The Blue Max , The Boys from Brazil , Capricorn One , The Sand Pebbles , The Swarm , Gremlins , The Mephisto Waltz , Papillon , Coma , Poltergeist (and the first sequel) , Psycho II , Twilight Zone: The Movie , Rambo (and all of the First Blood sequels) , Tora! Tora! Tora! , Air Force One , Powder , The Mummy (1999) and Deep Rising among many others. In addition, he has contributed much memorable TV series music, including the themes from Star Trek: The Next Generation , Star Trek: Voyager , Room 222 , Barnaby Jones , The Twilight Zone (series) , The Man from U.N.C.L.E. , Dr. Kildare and The Waltons .
