Shirly Temple Original Large Vintage Lithograph Print The Littlest Rebel Confederate Soldier
Shirley Temple Original Vintage Large Lithograph Print of the sweet little child actress we all grew up with. This print depicts her in the movie that came out in December 1935, THE LITTLEST REBEL. Shirley Temple played the character: Virginia 'Virgie' Cary and here in this picture she is dressed in a Confederate cap and sweet blue and white dress with red ribbons. Notice her very stern look on her dimpled face.
*LEONARD MALTIN MOVIE REVIEW:
D: David Butler. Shirley Temple, John Boles, Jack Holt, Karen Morley, Bill Robinson, Stepin Fetchit, Guinn "Big Boy'' Williams. One of Shirley's best films, a Civil War saga set in the Old South, with our heroine managing to wrap Union officer Holt around her little finger and protect her Confederate officer father (Boles). Temple and Robinson do some delightful dancing as well.*
Great RARE and HARD-TO-FIND Vintage collectible for you lovers of the famous child ** Little Girl Actress ~ Miss Shirley Temple.
This lovely treasure was found tucked away in a scrapbook. Was pasted in a scrapbook, so the lithograph is in great condition. No fading, Great Vibrant Coloring. The print is a nice thicker paper stock and a slightly shiny surface. (Just noted in the very top edge about one inch a little wear and about down the right edge in the middle some wear from the gluing. Will not see it under the frame border.) The rest is perfect.
*Rare Collectible*
Shirley Temple made us laugh and cry in such memorable movies like “The Littlest Rebel” where she gets a rise out of Union Commander Colonel Morrison by wearing a Confederate cap and singing Dixie.
Shirley Temple was an actor, a diplomat, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife for fifty-five years to the late Charles Alden Black. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranking of the top 50 screen legends ranked Shirley Temple at No. 18 among the 25 actresses.
Shirley Temple, little dimple face, who stole the hearts of movie goers, has sadly died at age 85. (4/23/28 - 02/10/14)
Wonderful LARGER vintage 1930s lithograph. Measures 9-1/4 inches wide by 12-1/4 inches high.
A Great Collectible item to add to your collection. You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! This wonderful ANTIQUE is worth collecting, we hope you think so too.
