An outstanding port of the PC classic, Eye of the Beholder is a hidden and underrated gem on the Sega CD.
What makes the game truly remarkable is the fantastic sound track. The music really shines here and outclasses most other aspects of the game. Not to say that the game is poor mind you but the OST for the title is one of the best on the console.
Yuzo Koshiro created the music for the game and it's one of his better works IMO. He is the same person who composed the soundtracks for the 16bit masterpieces Streets of Rage 2 and The Revenge of Shinobi.
Arguably the greatest game-music composer of the 16-bit age, Yuzo Koshiro created some of the most memorable game music of the late '80s and early '90s. Long story short is that every retro gamer should hear the sound track for Eye of the Beholder at least once; the music in the game is that good.
