Featuring a stunning hand drawn design of a “friendly” cockroach, this platter will become a talking point amongst your friends and family, as food is served and the cockroach revealed.
The white square porcelain 32cm x 32cm serving platter is made to the highest standards and will be a feature piece in any home. Large enough to serve hors d’oeuvres, finger food or the main meal for sharing in the centre of the table, the size and shape of the platter is extremely versatile. Robyn is a Sydney born abstract expressionist, who is well known for her work in acrylic and mixed media through her numerous solo exhibitions.
Recently she happened to notice some cockroaches crawling all over the cat’s plate in her back yard. She took some photographs as she became captivated by their prehistoric shapes. This led to a series of ink drawings that developed into the idea of producing the platter.
While the platter can be washed in the dishwasher, we recommend hand washing. Note that there may be slight variability in the cockroach design as each piece is individual.
