Please Note: The lines on the scarf are where it has been folded. They can be easily removed with an iron and steam.
These were made in the early 1990’s, when some of the firsthand painted silk scarves were made and sold in Los Angeles. Also called “wearable art” at the time, they were done by Chinese artists. They were also sold to be used as Wall Hangings.
The scarves are completely hand made, including the hand sewn side seams. Each scarf is individually painted, truly one-of-a-kind. The oblong silk scarf can be worn as wrap, hair or head scarf. It is approximately 8 1/4" wide by 70" long, with a 3/4" fringe on the ends. They are exquisite in color, design, and composition.
They have been in storage for over 20 years. They are “brand new” and have never been worn. The name “Beverly” is signed on the bottom of eachs carf, probably the importer’s name.
Care instructions: dry clean or hand wash in cold water, iron low steam.
