Tarot of the Druids is a charming, celtic-inspired deck that is ideal for light-hearted, nature-based readings.
The illustrations are reminiscent of the kind you would find in a wonderous fairytale adventure book - cartoon-like in esscence, featuring predominantly rural, middle-ages scenery inhabited by amusing characters exploring the woodland around them and getting into mischief.
The major cards of the Tarot of the Druids are associated with Celtic deities, faeries and characters from mythology, and are non-traditionally titled with only the Gaelic name of the deity on the card. The four suits of the Minor Arcana are also non-standard; Chalices, Swords, Aguinum (a talisman) for pentacles and Misletoe for Wands.
Accompanying the deck is a short instructional manual which explains the history of the druid, gives insight into the meanings of each card and contains a diagram of the Beltane Spread ('Beltane' meaning the Druidic celebration observed on the first of May).
