There are 16 different channels therefore you don’t interfere with other photographers if they are using the same brand triggers. The receiver and transmitter both require 1.5V AAA batteries, with the receiver needing 1 and the transmitter needing 2. The receiver has a plastic foot and a 1/4 inch threaded socket that allows it to be screwed on to tripods and light stands, or it can stand on its own.
