Victorian whitework embroidered linen hosiery or hanky keeper hc2060

This exquisite linen was probably part of a bride's trousseau at one time. It is a hanky or hosiery keeper and perfectly embroidered with a whitework floral motif with threadwork detail, and a scalloped satin-stitched edge. The linen is fine and the condition is superior. It is 6.5 x 7 inches.
Please note that this is not large enough for even a very skimpy nightgown. It would make a wonderful receptacle for wedding hanky or garter or a collection of love letters.
