RARE RIENSTRA NOSTALGIC BONNET AND FRUIT STILL LIFE NEEDLEPOINT KIT

It looks like someone couldn't resist the taste and smell of fresh ripe fruit as she picked flowers for her home, so she took off her straw bonnet and filled it with ripe, juicy cherries, peaches and plums, then left it momentarily to get that one perfect peach just out of reach! A lone hummingbird buzzes around the unattended hat, searching for some nectar, possibly from the brightly colored yellow , orange and red nasturtiums that are tumbling over the brim. Beth Rienstra's rare vintage circa 1979 design for the needlepoint artist is pure magic with it's deep rich colors and beautiful shading. A lovely take on the classic fruit and floral still life, it will make a wonderful addition to any decor! This classic treasure arrived in overly shopworn packaging which has been replaced to keep piece clean and ready to work.
